Below is a description of all Performing Arts classes.
Take 2 Infants
Students are encouraged to develop self confidence, social and interaction skills by playing drama games, learning songs as a group and taking part in theatre productions - Movement is also introduced within these classes. - Recent productions include; The Bossy King, Billy no-buzz, Zip-Bang-Hulabaloo and various showcases.
Take 2 Juniors
In our Junior section, students are introduced to a more challenging musical theatre reportoire. Classes include improvisation, group and solo singing and dance/movement. All students have the opportunity to take part in a minimum of 2 performances per year in our theatre. Recent productions include; When Sasha Got Stuck Up The Chimney, Scrooge, Bugsy Malone, Guys & Dolls and The Wizard Of Oz.
Take 2 Intermediates
At our Intermediate level students are introduced to more complex improvisation work and some script work during our drama section of the class. During musical theatre students will be introduced to harmony singing and auditonining techniques. Our popular show class gives members wanting to perform in our musical theatre shows the ideal introduction to full musical theatre productions. Recent productions include; Alice In Wonderland, Seusical, Bugsy Malone, Back To The 80's, Dazzle, Disney's Aladdin, Cinderella & Jungle Book.
Members are also chosen to join our Take 2 Theatre Company productions for shows such as Annie, Oliver, Sound Of Music &Whistle Down The Wind.
Take 2 Seniors
Senior classes focus on providing students with challenging and exciting production opportunities. With shows such as Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Evita, Joseph, Cats, Oklahoma and We Will Rock You, students have an excellent introduction to the professional world of Musical Theatre, indeed members have gone on to full time careers within the industry, (The Bodyguard, We Will Rock You: Arena Tour, Legally Blonde, Respect La Diva, Hairspray). The weekly classes include Drama, Dance and Musical Theatre with specailist performing arts tutors who have worked in the industry.
